This is definitely great news for fans! Cult film on rock music Rock On, which was one of a kind in Bollywood and surpassed all expectations from crtics as well as fans, will now have a sequel. Rock On 2 will star none other than singing actress Shraddha Kapoor!
Shraddha Kapoor who is currently promoting ABCD 2 with Varun Dhawan has already proved that she can sing. She had fans swooning to her unplugged rendition of Galliyaan. It is possible that the actress's musical talents could have been key in her bagging a part in the remake of this epic film.
The sequel of the film, which launched Farhan Akhtar as an actor will go on the floor in August this year and expected to hit the screens in the latter part of 2016. As per reports in bollywoodlife.com, the film will also star original cast member Arjun Rampal who played brooding guitarist Joe in the earlier film. The film was delayed because of a copyright battle with Abhishek Kapoor over development of the script and will be shot in the Northeast Indian hill station Shillong which is also considered to be the rock music capital of the region. Farhan too will be lending his voice to all songs along with his co-star Shraddha.
